Clearer weather, with just a few scattered showers, will develop in Munster, Connacht and in south Leinster, but it will turn cold under clearing skies, with a touch of frost. Some fog also, as winds slacken. On Wednesday, rain will continue in east Ulster for a time, eventually fizzling out later in the day. Bright or sunny spells over the bulk of the country, but scattered showers also, these mainly along Atlantic coasts. Cool, with light southwesterly or variable winds. Becoming windy overnight, with strong south to southeast winds developing and rain along west and southwest coasts by morning. Thursday will be very windy, with southeasterly gales along the coast. Rain also, but clearer weather, with just scattered showers, will follow from the Atlantic during the afternoon and evening and winds will ease as they veer southwest to west in direction. A slight frost may occur on Thursday night. Friday will have a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers, most of the showers in the southwest, west and northwest. Frost overnight. Saturday will be mainly dry with sunny spells and light winds.
