Water Levels Remain very low at 0.35 metres on the gauge. Temperatures have risen significantly in recent days and the bright sunshine and low water levels have made for difficult fishing conditions. A number of fish were reported last weekend but this week has been much quieter with only a couple of fish recorded.
On 11th May T. Colgan had a 5.5lbs fish on black flying c from the Old Sea Pool, on the 12th T. Carson had a 4lbs fish on fly from the Mill Pool, on the 13th D. Kennedy had a 7lbs fish on prawn from Brineys, on the 14th B. Campbell had a 5.5lbs fish on flying c from the Mill Pool and E. Chambers had a 5lbs fish on flying c from the Black Hole, on the 15th T. Colgan had a 5lbs fish on flying c from Foggan’s Bushes, M. Brady had a 5.5lbs fish on worm from the Black Hole, B. Cherry had a 4.5lbs fish on flying c from Peter’s High Bank and B. Few fish are running at the moment and there is little rain forecast for the coming week so the difficult conditions look set to continue.
